So Annoyed!
March 28, 2008Paint, Paint, & More Paint!
So, yesterday I went over to my sister's house to help her paint her kitchen and dining room. Oh what a job. She has a HUGE house, most of the square footage being in the kitchen and dining room (not really, but the more you paint, the bigger the room gets, right?). We painted and we painted and we painted. I got there about 10:30 AM and I left at 2:12 AM. Yes, you read that right. I left at two in the morning!
Alas, we pretty much finished and it looked fantastic. Until they got up this morning. The Fox Red is peeling. Everywhere. It peels off in sheets. And, before you ask, YES we used a primer. We started with printed sheetrock walls covered that with two (in some places three) coats of Kilz and then with two coats of the Angel Cake (it's a yellow color) and three coats of Fox Red (it's a deep rusty red color). Why is the yellow sticking fine and the red peeling?? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Apparently I'll be spending tomorrow peeling the red paint off that I worked so hard to apply.
Ugh! I am SO not a Martha Stewart!
